Derby Jeans to open new facility near Chennai.

Chennai-based Derby Jeans that specialises in Men's casual wear will open a new manufacturing facility at an investment of ₹6.5 crore, which will be operational next year.

The factory is coming up at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai and will have the capacity to produce 60,000 garments per month. Two other manufacturing facilities in Chennai have the total capacity of 40,000 garments per month.

“The company has plans to open 1,000 stores by franchise model by 2025 across the country. It plans to accomplish this by opening 19 stores every year,” Vijay Kapoor, founder and Managing Director of Derby Jeans, said on the sidelines of the TiECON Chennai 2016, organised by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).
