IndiGo to Invest ₹1,000 Crore in MRO, Plans Major Fleet Expansion.

IndiGo announced a significant expansion of its fleet and network, with plans to increase the share of owned or finance-leased aircraft to 30-40% of its total fleet by 2030. This strategy was revealed by the airline’s leadership during its annual general meeting.

Currently, IndiGo operates a fleet of 416 aircraft, with 69 of them (16.5%) being owned or finance-leased. This marks a substantial increase from just 8% a year ago, in June 2024. The airline's leadership noted that this percentage is expected to continue growing.

This move signals a shift towards greater financial control and long-term stability for the airline, as it continues to expand its operations.
