GIVA Plans Aggressive Expansion, Aims for 1,000 India Stores by 2028.
D2C fine jewellery brand GIVA is gearing up for one of its most aggressive expansion phases yet, with plans to scale its retail footprint to 340 stores by March 2026 and a long-term target of 800–1,000 stores across India over the next three years. The growth roadmap was outlined by founder Ishendra Agarwal in an exclusive conversation with businessline.
According to Agarwal, about 45 per cent of the new stores will open in the current fiscal year, signalling an accelerated push into both established metros and high-potential Tier-2 markets.
GIVA currently operates 280 stores, with strong clusters in the country’s top eight cities and a deepening presence in Tier-2 locations. “In some Tier-2 cities, we have gone very deep. For instance, Indore has five stores, Lucknow has four, and Jaipur has five,” Agarwal said.
In Tier-1 markets, the company has built high-density networks in Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR. Bengaluru hosts 47 stores, with plans to add 10–15 more, while Delhi-NCR’s 72-store network is set for similar expansion in the coming year. Overall, GIVA has a presence in 48 cities.
Agarwal noted that the company is shifting from a 5-km radius expansion model to a 2–3 km store-to-store distance, enabling wider accessibility and stronger brand visibility. GIVA aims to close FY26 with more than 340 stores, including around 150 new outlets slated for this year.
