Diyar Al Muharraq completes land reclamation works.

Leading Bahraini urban developers Diyar al Muharraq announced the completion of land reclamation work for the entire project. With this package of the project completed, the shore protection rock armor project is expected to be finished by Q1 2015.

Diyar Al Muharraq had assigned Great Lakes Nass, a joint venture between Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company and Bahraini firm, for the reclamation and shore protection services for the project. The work started in November 2006 and the reclamation for the project was achieved well on target.

In the past, Great Lakes Nass has successfully completed reclamation works for the Khalifa Bin Salman Port, the industrial area in Hidd, and a resort project of Durrat Al Bahrain.

Diyar Al Muharraq is a township under development in the Kingdom, which will feature landscaped public spaces with around 40 kilometers of waterfront. The project, when completed in 2020, is expected to offer 30, 000 residential units to accommodate more than 100,000 residents.
