Boeing inks contract with HAL

New Delhi: Boeing has signed a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) under which HAL will manufacture weapon bay doors for eight P-8I long-range maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft that will be delivered to the Indian Navy.

HAL will deliver the first set of doors to Boeing by the year-end. Boeing will deliver the first P-8I aircraft to India by 2013.

HAL also supplies Boeing with gun bay doors and wire harnesses for the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and up lock boxes for the Boeing 777 commercial aircraft.
