ADB funds Rs 8-mn for Pellandeniya water project

Colombo: The Asian Development Bank has funded Rs. 8 million for the drinking water project to Pellandeniya area solving a long standing problem faced by about 245 family units, of Ihala and Pahala Pellendeniya, Eksath Mawatha, Samagi Mawatha and Thamugala Wattha.

This drinking water project is being implemented on a proposal made by the Kurunegala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Patrick Karunasinghe to a request made by the people of the area.
