$32mn aerospace supply chain facility to be developed at Dubai World Central.
Dubai World Central has announced its plans to construct a new aerospace supply chain facility at its Aviation District. The USD 32.6 million will involve the construction of a facility comprising offices, warehouses and a multi-purpose building for tenants.
The planned facility will cater to small and medium companies in the global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector.
The facility will spread over an area of 45,000 square meters and will provide easy access to Al Maktoum International Airport and the Jebel Ali Port. DWC will be responsible for designing and developing the project, which is planned to be completed by Q1 2016.
Recently, DWC also announced that it has begun work on a new executive jet terminal that will host fixed base operators such as Jet Aviation, XJet and Jetex. In addition, the aerotropolis also inked a deal last year with France-based aircraft painting firm STTS Group for a new facility worth USD 40 million.
