Woodfield Systems Commits $100 Million Investment for Manufacturing Operations in India

Woodfield Systems International (WSI), a key player in the field of bulk gas and fluid management solutions, has recently finalized the acquisition of Woodfield Systems Ltd. UK, a prominent engineering and manufacturing business. This move marks a significant step towards expansion for WSI, as it announces plans to invest a staggering $100 million in initiating manufacturing operations within India. Over the next 36 months, the company also aims to onboard 200 new employees as part of its growth strategy.

The acquisition of Woodfield Systems Ltd. UK encompasses the entire global business of the UK-based company, although the specific financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed. WSI anticipates leveraging the technical expertise of Woodfield Systems UK alongside its own industry experience to enhance its offerings and global positioning significantly. Furthermore, WSI expresses intentions to explore additional acquisition opportunities in both North America and Europe.

Kartik Gala, CEO & Board Member of Woodfield Systems International, emphasized the specialized and niche nature of the product, underscoring WSI's distinction as the sole Indian manufacturer producing it domestically. Gala expressed the company's commitment to delivering world-class products from India to both domestic and international markets.

Presently, WSI operates two plants in Maharashtra, with a third plant currently under construction and anticipated to be operational within the next 10-12 months. Noteworthy clients in India include Shell and Indian Oil, among others. The $100 million investment aligns with the ethos of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat,' reinforcing India's stature as a global manufacturing and engineering hub.
