Venus Pipes & Tubes commissions additional 6.1 MW DC solar power unit.

Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd has commissioned an additional 6.1 MW DC solar power unit, strengthening its renewable energy capacity and efforts to reduce power costs.

The stainless steel pipes and tubes manufacturer and exporter has invested around ₹22 crore in the new solar power facility. The unit is expected to generate annual power cost savings of approximately ₹6 crore.

With the commissioning of the additional capacity, Venus Pipes & Tubes’ total solar power capacity has increased to 7.4 MW DC.

The company said the solar expansion will reduce its dependence on conventional power sources while improving energy efficiency and lowering its overall electricity costs. The initiative is also aimed at increasing the share of renewable energy in its manufacturing operations.
