Tourism Projects Await Government Nod

A few tourism proposals for Krishna district are pending with the state government for administrative sanction, that are likely to seek the light of the day in the new year, with state government laying lot of emphasis on tourism development.

Development of food court and tourist amenities complex at Gandhi Hills in the one town area of Vijayawada is one such proposal.
According to sources, the project is expected to cost Rs 20 lakh. Administrative sanction is also awaited for a new boat for Bhavani Island, which is estimated to cost Rs 20 lakh.

Sources said a Rs 30 lakh project for tourist amenities and food court at Hamsala Devi, Rs 25 lakh project for boating, tourist amenities and food court at Gilakaladindi are also with the government and once approved, they will be grounded in the last quarter of the current financial year. Tourism projects at Kondapalli and Pedana are also in the offing, sources added.
