Taylormade Renewables Ltd. Collaborates with IOCL for Pilot Project

TAYLORMADE RENEWABLES LIMITED has solidified its role as an "Industrial Partner" with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for initiatives focused on Net Zero Carbon Emission & Energy Efficiency Improvement. Under this collaboration, TRL will be responsible for implementing IOCL's specifications and proposed designs, contributing to the design and production of systems to be deployed at IOCL and other Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

The initiation of this partnership is marked by a pilot project work order from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., R&D Centre, Sector-13, Faridabad, Haryana-121007, India. The work order, designated for a Solar Thermal Energy System (STES), carries Contract No.: GEMC-511687750143668, dated 10th November 2023, through the Government E Marketplace (GeM).

Specifically, the work order outlines the development of a dual-axis tracking parabolic dish-based Solar Thermal Energy System (STES) for process heat. This system will be designed in accordance with IOCL's recommendations, tailored and fabricated to meet IOCL's requirements, and integrated with an existing boiler at IOCL Lube Oil Blending Plant in Asaoti. The objective is to augment process heat through the preheating of boiler feed water up to 80 - 90°C. Comprising 5 dishes of 92 sq. m. each, the project aims to reduce fossil fuel usage for thermal energy needs in production.

Upon successful completion, the project holds the potential for widespread implementation across all IOCL refineries and other PSUs. Such initiatives contribute to IOCL's pursuit of achieving Net Zero Carbon Emission targets by significantly curbing fossil fuel consumption for thermal energy requirements in production processes.
