Tamil Nadu SEZ gets ₹1,000-cr investment.
AMRL Hitech City, a multi-product special economic zone (SEZ), has received an investment commitment of over ₹1,000 crore from more than 30 customers. The SEZ, financed by Kolkata-based Srei Infrastructure and marketed by its associate Attivo, is expected to create employment for nearly 2,600 people.
Spread over 2,518 acres in Nanguneri, Tamil Nadu, AMRL Hitech City will be developed in phases, with the first one having an area of around 1,250 acres.
The SEZ will house a diverse set of industries, including electronics, general engineering, auto ancillaries and components, solar, and others, Attivo said in a release.
According to the release, AMRL Hitech City received an investment commitment of more than ₹400 crore at the recently held Global Investors Meet in Tamil Nadu. Some of them have come from Zynergy Capital Private Limited, Ashray Logistics Private Limited, Electromate Components Private Limited and many more.
