Speed up electrification work, Tiruchi MP tells railways.

Tiruchi MP P. Kumar recently urged the railway authorities to expedite the electrification projects in the Tiruchi region.

Mr. Kumar held a discussion with K.V.V. Satyanarayana, Chief Project Manager, Railway Electrification, Chennai, who visited Tiruchi recently, and impressed upon him the need to expedite the electrification of the Tiruchi-Nagapattinam-Karaikal and Tiruchi-Karur sections.

Mr. Kumar said that although funds had been allocated for the projects in the Railway Budget, the money had not been released yet. He had planned to take up with the Railway Minister.
