Smart City Dreams Set to Take Wings with USIBC Visit.

The US-India Business Council (USIBC), a nodal agency for developing 'smart cities' in India, will send its team to Vizag in December which will submit a report to the Union government. The team will also visit Ajmer and Allahabad as part of an agreement reached between India and the US.

GVMC in-charge commissioner M Janaki, who attended the US-India Smart Cities Conclave that concluded in Delhi Saturday, told reporters recently that a presentation was made by the GVMC on the status of various projects on infrastructure development, solid waste management, disaster management, water supply, roads, tourism and various other issues. The issues that need urgent attention were also explained.
