QCIL Partners with Ampin Energy and Radiance Renewables to Drive Sustainable Energy Transition Across Facilities.

Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL) has entered into agreements with Ampin Energy and Radiance Renewables to procure solar power for five of its facilities under a group captive solar initiative, the company said.

The first phase of the transition will cover hospitals located in Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, marking the beginning of QCIL’s broader push towards sustainable energy adoption.

QCIL plans to gradually transition 19 hospitals operating under its Care Hospitals and KIMS Health networks to renewable energy. The rollout will take place in multiple phases, with Phase II covering Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, followed by Kerala in Phase III, and Madhya Pradesh and Telangana in Phase IV.

The company said the phased approach is designed to ensure uninterrupted operations while scaling up renewable energy adoption across its energy-intensive healthcare facilities. It added that hospitals, which operate in continuous and high-dependency environments, require reliable power supply, making the transition to renewable energy both a strategic and operational priority.

According to QCIL, rising energy costs—an important component of hospital operating expenses—are also driving the shift, with renewable energy expected to support cost optimisation, enhance energy security and advance environmental sustainability goals.
