NBPPL, AP Genco ink pact for spare parts supply to thermal plants.

NTPC BHEL Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. (NBPPL) and AP Genco have entered into a memorandum of understanding recently for supply of spare parts of Coal Handling Plant, Ash Handling Plant and other balance of plant required for APGenco's thermal power plants in the State.

The joint venture company had already entered into MoUs for supply of spare parts required for NTPC power plants.

NBPPL, a joint venture of NTPC and BHEL, has established a plant for manufacturing spare parts and power equipment required for thermal power plants in Mannavaram village in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

The agreement was entered into between the two in the presence of Atul Saraya, MD of NBPPL and K Vijayanand, MD of APGenco.

This arrangement is seen to facilitate supply of spare parts required for AP Genco power plants in minimal time and thereby help address forced outages of thermal power plants without much delay.

Vijayanand said NTPC, BHEL and APGenco have a long association and in future they can join hands to achieve more targets in the power sector.
