Mattress manufacturer Peps plans expansion.

Spring mattress manufacturing major Peps Industries Pvt. Ltd. has inked an agreement with Laaderberg AS, Norway, for sourcing polyurethane plant and equipment.

“We will start commercial production in about six months, as the captive consumption of the foam has gone up,” K Madhavan, Managing Director, Peps Industries, said.

The Coimbatore-based company is contemplating to get into subsidiary products such as varieties of pillows, mattress protector, fitter sheets and so on very soon, he said. It has launched a new product Peps Organica, wherein the pocketed springs are topped with natural latex foam and upholstered with cotton fabric.
