L&T Wins "Large" Order from Hindustan Zinc for Rajasthan Smelter Expansion.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced recently that it has been awarded a "large" project, valued between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore, from Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta group company.

The order, secured by L&T's minerals and metals business, involves the engineering, procurement, and construction of a new facility at Hindustan Zinc's Debari Smelter Complex in Rajasthan.

The expansion project is a key part of Hindustan Zinc's growth strategy and will include a 250 kilotonne per annum (KTPA) leaching, purification, and cellhouse facility, along with a 125 KTPA Jarosite Circuit.
