Jaiprakash Associates bags orders worth Rs 9.13 bn from Bhutan

Jaiprakash Associates has been awarded two contracts worth Rs 9.13 billion by Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority, Bhutan for construction of the two contract packages pertaining to 720 MW Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project located in Trongsa district Bhutan.

The first contract is for diversion tunnel, dam, spillway & coffer dams, intake structure, intake tunnels, branch HRT, SFT, branch SFT, Adit to desilting chambers, Adit to GOC of DC, GOC of DC, Adit to GOC of SFT, GOC of SFT, Vertical Shaft and 2 nos. desilting chambers for a contract value equivalent to Rs 5.97 billion (approx.).

The other contract is for surge shaft, 2 nos. pressure shafts, bifurcation pressure shaft & intermediate adits, main access tunnel to power house including portal, approach adit to transformer cavern, approach adit to pressure shafts bottom, construction adits to power house & transformer cavern crown including portals & plugs, cable cum ventilation tunnel, underground power house & transformer caverns including bus duct, pothead yard, TRT, branch tunnel & outlet portals for TRT for a contract value equivalent to Rs 3.16 billion (approx.).
