HCC Secures ₹127-Crore Hydropower Project Contract in Bhutan.

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) Ltd recently announced that it has secured a contract worth ₹127 crore from Wangchhu Hydroelectric Power Ltd (WHPL), Bhutan, for construction works associated with the Wangchhu Hydroelectric Project.

In a statement, the company said the scope of the contract includes the construction of diversion tunnels, hydromechanical gates and cofferdams, key components of the hydropower project.

The project is expected to be completed within a period of nine months, HCC said.

The order strengthens HCC's presence in the hydropower infrastructure segment and adds to its portfolio of projects in the neighbouring Himalayan region.
