HCL Tech wins $400 million order from Norway bank.

HCL Technologies has won a $400 million (Rs. 2,400 crore) IT outsourcing deal from Norway's DNB Bank. The contract is for 6.5 years. The country's fourth-largest IT services company will manage the bank's IT infrastructure services and application operations for all DNB businesses across Norway and its key international locations.

DNB is Norway's largest financial services group with 2.5 million retail banking customers offering a full range of financial services, including loans, savings, advisory services, insurance and pension products for retail and corporate customers.

HCL Technologies, which counts Statoil and Telenor as customers in the region, pipped the incumbent Norwegian IT player Evry and other Indian and MNC IT vendors to bag the contract.
