GPT Infraprojects Surges 5% After Securing ₹547 Crore Order from RVNL

GPT Infraprojects witnessed a significant surge in its stock price on Wednesday, with the infrastructure firm's shares climbing by as much as 4.98% to reach an intraday high of Rs 239 per share.

The spike followed an announcement from the company regarding its successful bid for an order valued at Rs 547 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). In an exchange filing, GPT Infraprojects stated, "GPT Infraprojects Limited (GPT) is pleased to announce that the company has bagged an order valued at Rs 547 crore."

The company outlined that the project involves the construction of a six-lane elevated Kona expressway in West Bengal under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode.

As per the terms of the order, GPT Infraprojects will undertake various responsibilities, including the construction of the viaduct portion of the elevated corridor, road over bridges (ROBs), culverts, NHAI office building, and other miscellaneous works, excluding specific tasks such as the design, supply, fabrication, and launching of steel bridge spans.

GPT Infraprojects also disclosed that its outstanding order book now stands at Rs 3,646 crore, with a total order inflow of Rs 674 crore for fiscal 2025.

Headquartered in Kolkata, GPT Infraprojects Limited, the flagship company of GPT Group, is an established infrastructure player focused on railway and road projects. Since its inception in 1980, the company has been engaged in the execution of civil and infrastructure projects, particularly large bridges and ROBs for Railways and Roads for Government contracts.
