Government Clears Ahmedabad–Dholera Semi High-Speed Rail Corridor Plan.

India will construct a semi high-speed double-line rail corridor between Ahmedabad (Sarkhej) and Dholera at an estimated cost of ₹20,667 crore, the government said.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the project under the Ministry of Railways, with a completion timeline extending up to 2030–31.

According to an official statement, the project will add approximately 134 km to the Indian Railways network and will be developed using indigenously developed technology, marking a key step in strengthening modern rail infrastructure in the country.
