GDL to set up storage facility at Krishnapatnam.

Gateway Distriparks Ltd (GDL), a leading Container Freight Station (CFS) operator, as part of its strategy to expand its footprint to new geographical areas, has announced plans to set up a CFS and warehouses at Krishnapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh. The company has acquired about 48 acres land near Nellore for this purpose, it said.

The proposed CFS at Krishnapatnam port will be located between Chennai and Vizag Ports.

It will be developed as a world class CFS with facility for clearance and storage of containerized imports and exports,” said Prem Kishan Gupta, CMD, GDL.“We will start the construction of CFS soon, which will provide domestic tariff area warehousing facility for consolidation of cargo,” he added.
