Coastal AP and Gujarat to get nuclear power plants

Indian government is planning to set up two coastal nuclear power projects in the Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, in collaboration with US based nuclear firms.

The nuclear power projects will come up at Kovvada in Andhra Pradesh and Chhayamithi Virdi in Gujarat.

The cabinet has approved the project and is it to be developed on co-operation with US firms.
