BEL, Safran Partner Equally to Manufacture Hammer Missiles in India.

Bharat Electronics Limited and Safran Electronics and Defence are set to form a private limited company, likely based in Pune, to produce Hammer missiles domestically for fighter jets such as the Rafale.

According to a stock exchange filing by BEL, the company will be incorporated with an initial authorised share capital of ₹1,00,000, divided into 1,000 equity shares of ₹100 each. The authorised capital may later be increased to ₹10 crore or more, depending on business needs.

The collaboration aims to bolster indigenous missile production capabilities and strengthen India’s defense manufacturing ecosystem.
