Areva gets contract from Bhilai steel plant

Mumbai: Power company Areva T&D has bagged a 35 million euros (Rs 221.79 crore) contract from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), part of Steel Authority of India (Sail).

The contract includes a 132 Kv gas insulated substation and air insulated substations.

It will aslo include the complete revamping of the existing protection and control system and feeding the new sub-stations through 132 Kv transmission cable, the company said in a release.

Areva will provide protection, control and monitoring system for the existing substations. the project is scheduled for delivery by October 2010.
