AP allots land to US data centre firm.

Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted a 10 acre site in Mangalagiri area near Vijayawada to the US-based data centre company PI Data Center, which plans to set up a large data centre there.

Announcing the decision of the State Cabinet nod to allot the 10-acre a site on lease for 33 years, the State Information Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy said that the company plans to invest about Rs. 600 crore on the project (about $100 million) and provide remote data management services.
