Airtel to extend cable network to Bhutan

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel and the Royal Government of Bhutan have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which Airtel will extend its fibre connectivity to the Himalayan Kingdom.

The initiative will enable enterprises in Bhutan to access Bharti's cable network, through its international cable landing stations in Chennai and Mumbai.

Bharti offers the widest pan-India reach with an infrastructure that comprises of 104,540 route km of fibre, over 1,500 MPLS and SDH point of presence and over 1,491 points of interconnection with the local exchanges.
