Adani Group plans heliport, air taxi hub at Navi Mumbai.

Passengers travelling to and from the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport may soon have the option of using helicopters and air taxis, as the Adani Group plans to develop a heliport and vertiport in the area.

The proposed facility will provide aerial connectivity between Navi Mumbai, other parts of Mumbai and Pune. Adani Group Director (Airports) Jeet Adani said the heliport and vertiport would be developed independently of the Navi Mumbai airport and would not affect its flight operations.

Sources said the Adani Group has sought a plot of around two hectares from the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) for the development of the heliport and vertiport. The proposal is currently under consideration by CIDCO.
