Titagarh Rail to Supply 108 Coaches to Mumbai Metro in ₹1,600-Cr Deal.

Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL) has been awarded a ₹1,598.55-crore contract to manufacture 108 coaches for the Mumbai Metro, a company official announced recently.

The company received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the comprehensive project, which includes the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of the new coaches for Mumbai Metro’s Line 6.

According to TRSL's Deputy Managing Director, Pritish Chowdhary, the new metro contract is expected to maintain a profit margin of 9-10%, consistent with current trends. He added that this margin is likely to improve as the company ramps up its capacity and completes its ongoing backward integration efforts.
