TCS wins Volkswagen outsourcing contract

Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has won a five-year IT outsourcing deal with Volkswagen (VW) Group UK for handling VW's onshore and offshore services for managing its software infrastructure.

TCS will manage the corporate IT systems, data centres and applications of VW. It will help in virtualisation of VW`s servers and consolidate them on a single platform.

The service of TCS will be spread across VW group’s operation covering brands such as Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
