"SPPL Announces Launch of Dedicated Direct-to-Consumer Website to Bolster Online Reach"

Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL), the exclusive brand licensee for renowned labels such as Kodak and Thomson in India, is stepping up its digital game with the imminent launch of its own direct-to-consumer (D2C) website. The move aims to fortify the company's online presence and tap into the burgeoning e-commerce landscape.

Anticipating a significant contribution to sales, SPPL envisions the D2C platform, dubbed "Shop SPPL," to initially command a 5% market share, with projections soaring to 15% over time.

Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO of SPPL, outlined the strategic investments made in backend infrastructure to facilitate seamless operations. Leveraging 28 strategically located warehouses, the D2C website is primed to service 19,000 PIN codes nationwide. Marwah emphasized the importance of logistics partnerships in ensuring a streamlined shopping experience for consumers.

With a diverse product portfolio spanning televisions, washing machines, air-coolers, and air-conditioners, SPPL boasts brand licensing agreements with five global giants, including Thomson, Kodak, Blaupunkt, Westinghouse, and White-Westinghouse, across various categories.

Despite its strong presence on e-commerce marketplaces, SPPL is venturing into the D2C realm to address supply chain challenges and cater to bulk and corporate orders. Marwah highlighted consumer preferences for direct brand transactions and the imperative to mitigate sales loss, estimated at 5-7%, occasionally escalating to 15%, due to multifarious factors.

Marwah expressed confidence in the D2C site's potential, foreseeing a gradual increase in market share from the initial 5% to a substantial 15%. Positioned as a comprehensive destination for all SPPL brands and products, "Shop SPPL" promises a holistic shopping experience for consumers.

Having conducted a successful pilot phase, SPPL is considering consumer feedback for potential future expansions, including experiential or demo stores. The company remains committed to leveraging digital avenues for enhanced consumer engagement and market penetration.
