NHAI Preparing DPRs for Three Link Roads to Enhance Connectivity.
With the BJP-led Delhi government prioritizing infrastructure development, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has begun preparing detailed project reports (DPRs) for three new link roads aimed at improving connectivity between upcoming expressways and easing congestion on arterial roads.
While the initial cost estimate for the three projects was around ₹9,100 crore, the final cost will be determined after the completion of DPRs. Officials stated that work plans and fund allocations would be finalized accordingly.
"We expect to complete the DPRs in six to seven months, allowing work to commence soon after. The exact alignment and configuration will be finalized during this process," an NHAI official said.
One of the planned link roads, approximately 20 km long, will connect the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) to the Delhi-Katra Expressway via the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway. This new corridor will facilitate direct and seamless connectivity for vehicles traveling from Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and IGI Airport.
