SCCI and Intel two-day SMB IT drive
Sialkot: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Intel Pakistan Corporation jointly launched two-day Information Technology drive highlighting the inopportune of IT and PC in Small and Medium Business (SMB) sector to develop the business here on Friday.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of SMB IT Drive the President SCCI Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal lauded the initiative of Intel to focus SME sector for updating its needs of information technology that has now become a key ingredient for the growth of any business in the global economy.
In Pakistan, with a huge base of 3.2 million SMEs employing approximately 78 percent of non-agriculture labour force, it is very important that Intel equips them with the right tools so that they can compete in international markets, he said.
The SCCI President further stated that in current era it was vital for all businesses to have the right technology tools, which can increase business productivity, profitability and increased the overall performance of the industry on macro level.
He said that the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Intel have team up to make this event possible, adding that we were doing our best to facilitate the use of information technology in all business sectors.
Asma Aziz Business/ retail Marketing Manager Intel Pakistan Corporation said that small and medium business sector was the backbone of the national economy. Intel is proud to facilitate their digital empowerment that would not only boost their productivity and efficiency but also would have a positive impact on the economy, he added.
