Qatar's Ashghal Awards $369.6 Million in Roads and Infrastructure Contracts, Boosting EPC Opportunities

Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded four roads and infrastructure contracts worth a combined QAR 1.345 billion ($369.6 million), reinforcing the country's investment in transport connectivity, residential infrastructure and urban development. The contracts, dated October 1, 2026, were reported on October 19.

Qatar Building Engineering Company (QBEC) secured the largest contract, valued at QAR 478.98 million ($131.6 million), for roads and infrastructure development in Wadi Al Banat North, Zone 70.

Qatar Trading and Contracting Group received a QAR 457.41 million ($125.7 million) contract for completing remaining infrastructure works in Al Sheehaniya under Package 1.

JAK Construction was awarded QAR 216.89 million ($59.6 million) for outstanding road and infrastructure works covering Um Slal Ali, Um Ebariya, South Um Al Amad and North Bu Fessela.

Meanwhile, ITAL Consult secured a QAR 191.88 million ($52.7 million) framework agreement for design consultancy services supporting infrastructure projects nationwide.

The awards are expected to generate opportunities for civil engineering contractors, road construction specialists, infrastructure equipment suppliers, construction materials manufacturers and utility network contractors.

The contracts strengthen Ashghal's ongoing infrastructure development programme while supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 and improving connectivity across emerging residential communities.
