Qatar firm to offer service apartments in Thrissur

Kochi: The Qatar-based Abmak Properties has proposed to offer the concept of service apartments in the upcoming Sobha City at Thrissur, as service apartments are considered to be latest inclusion in the real estate business in the State.

For this, the company has made an investment of Rs 100 crore to purchase 176 apartments, which will be in the Tower II of Jade in the Sobha city, to be developed by Sobha Developers. The project will be ready by August 2011, Mr Ameen Abubacker, Joint Managing Director, Abmak Properties, said at a press meet.

These apartments will have a balanced blend of classy vernacular and contemporary style architecture. It will have five-star facilities and will have access to common amenities.

The company is also looking to the similar service apartment concept in Kochi and Kozhikode and talks are already on with leading builders in this regard, he added.

Abmak Properties is an associate of $250-million Almuftah Group, a leading corporate name in Qatar with network across UAE and India.
