Petronet LNG and Deepak Fertilisers Group Seal 5.5-Year Regasification Deal.

State-run Petronet LNG (PLL) announced recently a significant 5.5-year agreement with a subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation (DFPCL) for the regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The contract, signed between PLL and Performance Chemiserve (PCL), a subsidiary of Deepak Mining Solutions (DMSL) (a wholly owned subsidiary of DFPCL), is set to commence between May and July 2026. Under the terms, PLL will handle the regasification of LNG imported by the DFPCL group.

Petronet LNG's Dahej terminal will be the operational hub for this agreement. Following an initial ramp-up period in calendar year 2026, PLL will annually receive, store, and regasify approximately 25.6 trillion British thermal units (TBTUs) of LNG. This deal marks a notable collaboration between a major public sector LNG player and a prominent private sector entity in the fertilizers and petrochemicals space.
