Panel will meet again on Sasan project today

New Delhi: The meeting of the Empowered Group of Ministers to decide the fate of the Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project remained inconclusive on Wednesday. Another meeting of the panel is scheduled for Thursday even as the Government indicated at the possibility of another extension to the validity of the bid beyond July 5.

'The issue was placed before the EGoM. Tomorrow it will meet again. There is time till July 5 but the EGoM can decide on an extension,' Power Minister Mr Sushilkumar Shinde told reporters after the meeting.
