Odisha Secures ₹2.43 Trillion Investment Proposals from UAE Outreach
Odisha has secured investment proposals worth ₹2,43,162 crore during its three-day investment outreach programme in the United Arab Emirates, reinforcing the state’s push to attract global capital, technology and manufacturing partnerships. The UAE programme, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, resulted in 24 investment proposals comprising eight MoUs and 16 investment intents, with a projected employment potential of more than 6.18 lakh jobs.
The investment proposals span a broad range of sectors including manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, IT & ITES, real estate, food processing, steel downstream industries, rare earths, chemicals, aluminium and circular economy projects. The outreach included investor meetings and industry roundtables in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, aimed at converting investment interest into project implementation.
During the second day alone, Odisha received proposals worth ₹8,417 crore, including five MoUs valued at ₹5,600 crore and eight investment intents valued at ₹2,817 crore.
The large investment pipeline is expected to create opportunities for EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, technology providers, logistics companies and industrial service firms, while strengthening Odisha’s position as a destination for large-scale industrial and infrastructure development.
