L&T's Power Transmission & Distribution Business Wins Key Projects in India & Middle East.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) recently announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business vertical has won significant new grid infrastructure orders both in India and the Middle East. These contracts underscore L&T's crucial role in developing future-ready power infrastructure for global energy transition.
In India, the PT&D business has been awarded contracts for the construction of 765kV and 400kV transmission lines. These vital projects are aimed at integrating a Renewable Energy Zone in Andhra Pradesh into the national grid, facilitating the seamless flow of green energy.
Simultaneously, in the Middle East, L&T has received orders for the turnkey execution of several 220kV and 132kV Gas Insulated Substations (GIS). These critical infrastructure projects come from prominent transmission asset owners and operators in the region.
L&T highlighted that these new orders represent a key milestone for its PT&D business, reinforcing its commitment to delivering advanced grid solutions. Such infrastructure is essential in helping customers achieve their sustainable energy goals and support the broader energy transition.
