L&T Lands Major Contract for India's First Bullet Train Corridor.

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced recently that it has secured a "large" order for the prestigious Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The company classifies a contract of this scale as being valued between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.

The contract was awarded by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL). According to L&T, its Transportation Infrastructure business will be responsible for constructing 156 route kilometers of high-speed ballastless track. This specific segment of the project is known as Package T1.
