L&T bags orders worth Rs.1366 Cr from Gulf region

L&T bags orders worth Rs.1366 Cr from Gulf region New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro has bagged Rs 1,366 crore order from Gulf region for construction of transmission lines and substations.

Larsen & Toubro Saudi Arabia LLC has got a Rs 597 crore order for construction of 225 km of 380kV transmission line project.

The scope of the project involves complete engineering, supply installation and commissioning of towers, conductors, insulators and fittings,and the project would be completed in two years.

The company has also bagged two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders aggregating Rs 497 crore.

The first order, valued at Rs 422 crore from Abu Dhabi Ports Company, is for construction of five medium voltage substations and associated 33kV cabling works for Khalifa Port & Industrial Zone project.

The second order, which involves construction of 132kV cabling and associate works from Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, is worth Rs 75 crore and would be executed in 11 months.

It has also got a Rs 185 crore 'breakthrough' order from Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation for engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of 66 km of 220kV underground cabling works.

L&T Oman has secured Rs 87 crore order from Muscat Electricity Distribution Company for construction of 3kV substation and associate works.
