Kepler Secures $4 Million iDEX Prime Contract for Indian Defence Satellite Swarm.

Space technology company Kepler announced today it has signed a significant prime contract under the government's Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) initiative. The agreement, finalized on July 4, 2025, provides Kepler with $4 million in government grants and launch services.

This crucial funding will enable Kepler to develop a 6-satellite Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) swarm constellation. This advanced constellation is intended for the Defence Space Agency (DSA), Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS), and the Ministry of Defence. The ambitious project is scheduled for launch in 2027, promising to bolster India's space-based defence capabilities.
