India will need to consistently add around 50 GW of solar capacity every year to stay on track for its target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity, according to a report by Rubix Data Sciences.

The report projects that the country's solar capacity could reach 280-300 GW by 2030, making it a key contributor to the broader clean energy goal. Achieving this milestone, however, will require sustained annual solar installations of about 50 GW throughout the decade.
