Google expands cloud infra in India, inks lease for 3.81 lakh sq ft data center in Navi Mumbai.

Alphabet Inc’s Google has entered into an agreement to pick up a data center spread over 3.81 lakh sq ft in Navi Mumbai through a long-term lease of over 28 years as it expands its cloud infrastructure in India to cater to rising demand in one of its prominent growth markets.

Google has inked the deal through its affiliated company Raiden Infotech India and will be paying rentals worth over $140 million or Rs. 1,144 crore, based on the current exchange rates, over just the first 10 years of the lease.
