Fesco installs four new transformers
Faisalabad: Ahmad Saeed Akhtar, Chief Executive, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) announced that Fesco is making continuous efforts for the augmentation and improvement of its distribution network.
Four new power transformers of 40 MVA and 132-KV at Chiniot Industrial, Sargodha City, Narwala Road and Chiniot Road Grid stations would be installed to give relief to the distribution system and to reduce the line losses.
He said that new grids are being constructed in addition to enhancing the capacity of existing grids 'capacity of the new grids would be enhanced before the next summer season' 'he added.
About old thermal grid station he said that it is one of the most important grid stations situated in the hub of industrial and commercial zone. He said that 5000 new industrial, commercial and domestic connections could be issued after the installation of this new power transformer of 40 MVA. It would also help in stabilising of electricity in this area he added.
He further said that Rs 54.58 million has been spent on installation of these power transformer, circuit breakers and incoming panels. He said the GSC directorate of Fesco would install 4 new power transformers of 40 MVA in 132-KV Chiniot Industrial, Sargodha City, Narwala Road and Chiniot Road grid stations to give relief to the system as well as customers.
Chief Executive congratulated the team for accomplishing this task within shortest possible time and also announced the cash reward of Rs 10000 for GSC and Rs 5000 for GSO team. Earlier Sheikh Muhammad Ashraf, Manager (GSC) directorate and Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed manager operation 1st circle briefed the Chief Executive about various on going development projects.
Meanwhile, Fesco has introduced a new procedure to make payment to their employees on the very day of their retirement, said Chief Executive Fesco, Ahmed Saeed Akhter. He was addressing a ceremony to distribute cheques, pension documents and gifts among the 15 employees who retired recently from service after attaining superannuation age. He termed retired Fesco employees as an asset for the company as well as country who had served throughout their life for the welfare, betterment, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
'We must acknowledge their services and give them a befitting farewell', he said and added that Fesco has introduced a new and unique tradition to complete their pension documents before their retirement. He appreciated the administration department for completing the pension documents of retired employees and directed them to continue this practice in future.
He said that every employee has to retire and we must take due care of the retired employees so that we should get the same treatment at our retirement. The chief executive also directed administration department to complete the formalities and issue appointment letter to a sibling of a deceased Fesco employee of GSO Circle.
Mr Gulzar Ahmed Sheikh, Manager Admin conducted the ceremony. Chief Engineer/Technical Director Muhammad Shafiq Maan, Chief Engineer/Customer Services Director Niaz Hussain Naqvi, Director (HR & A) Colonel Muhammad Najib Alvi (R), also participated in the ceremony along with other officials.
