Dumraon Secures ₹189 Crore for Road Upgrades and Renovation Projects.

Dumraon is set for a major infrastructure boost, with ₹189 crore allocated for the repair and renovation of a 247 km road network covering 114 roads under the rural works department. CPI(ML) MLA Ajit Kumar Singh announced the project on Tuesday, crediting persistent efforts in the assembly for securing the approval.

Singh emphasized that continuous advocacy had led to this development, calling it a victory for the people of Dumraon. "The roads in my constituency were in poor condition, causing inconvenience due to potholes, broken culverts, and chaotic traffic. After years of struggle, we have finally secured the necessary funds for reconstruction," he said.

The approved projects include major roadways such as a 13 km stretch from NH-922 to Dhakaich via Koransarai, a 19 km route from Krishnabrahma to Giridhar Baraon, and a 16 km stretch from Nawanagar to Baradi, among others. Some of these roads had been in disrepair for nearly two decades.

The MLA reaffirmed his commitment to infrastructure development, stating that he had consistently raised the issue in every assembly session, using facts and figures to push for action.
