"Dholera and Bhogapuram are competing to host Embraer’s final assembly line in India."
Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have emerged as leading contenders to host Embraer’s proposed final assembly line for commercial aircraft in India, according to sources familiar with the discussions.
The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer is in talks with the Adani Group to set up a final assembly facility for its E1 and E2 jet families, which are operated by airlines across the world. The move would mark a significant step in Embraer’s potential expansion of manufacturing operations in India.
Industry sources said Dholera in Gujarat and Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh are being considered as possible locations for the project. Discussions between Embraer and the Adani Group are ongoing, with key aspects such as the size of the investment, manufacturing capacity and the final site yet to be finalised.
A formal announcement is expected once the two sides conclude negotiations on the project’s scope and structure.
