Davangere Sugar to Invest in Ethanol Plant Expansion.
Davangere Sugar Company has announced plans to significantly increase its ethanol production capacity. The company aims to raise its output to 85 kilo litres per day (KLPD) by the end of the current fiscal year, with a further expansion to 110 KLPD to follow.
This expansion is a direct response to the government's ethanol blending program. To support the increased production and ensure a consistent supply of raw materials, the company will diversify its feedstock to include broken rice and maize, allowing for year-round operation.
In addition to the capacity expansion, Davangere Sugar will also install a 35-tonne-per-day CO₂ recovery plant, a move that will help the company in its sustainability efforts.
